Rice Paper Pith (Tong Cao)
Traditionally used to promote lactation, support urination, and drain damp heat, this herb is a cornerstone for healthy milk production.

Astragalus Root (Huang Qi)
Known for strengthening Qi energy and supporting the Spleen, it boosts immunity and helps replenish energy levels – essential for postpartum recovery.

Codonopsis (Dang Shen)
Celebrated for strengthening the Spleen and Stomach and replenishing Qi energy, it helps combat fatigue and supports overall vitality.

Chinese Angelica Root (Dang Gui)
Often called the “female ginseng,” it nourishes Blood and supports reproductive health, making it ideal for postpartum recovery and milk supply.

Goji Berries (Gou Qi Zi)
Packed with antioxidants, they strengthen the Kidney, nourish the Liver, and support eye health – perfect for busy new mums.

Chinese Yam (Huai Shan)
Traditionally used to nourish the Spleen and Lungs, it promotes stamina and overall wellbeing, helping you feel strong and balanced.

Red Dates (Hong Zao)
Sweet and nourishing, these are traditionally used to strengthen Qi energy, enrich the Blood, and calm the Spirit, supporting both energy and emotional balance.

Dried Longan (Gui Yuan Rou)
Known for nourishing the Heart, Blood, and Spleen, it calms the Spirit and provides a natural energy boost.

Fox Glove Root (Shu Di Huang)
Traditionally used to nourish Yin and Blood, it supports overall vitality and helps replenish the body after childbirth.

Recipe & Ritual

Herbal flavour strength: moderate

Just add protein, water and aromatics all into a pot and let the aroma fill your house with comfort. Level up with a serve of shiitake mushrooms.

Best paired with chicken. You can also choose to create a vegan variation. 

Served on its own or as a delicious side. This method serves 4 mains or 6 - 8 sides.

Use as a broth base for a hearty noodle soup or congee.
