Peach gum is picked from the bark of peach trees. Due to this, it is common to see black impurities in the peach gum that can be removed when rehydrated prior to cooking.
For every 30g peach gum, soak in 500ml water for 24 hours (once rehydrated it will triple in size)
When ready to cook drain peach gum, remove any black impurities from peach gum. Use tweezers if preferred.
Add to herbal dessert soups, savoury soups and desserts.
